Twinkle Raymond

Twinkle Raymond was born on August 23, 2010, and passed away on July 17, 2023. She was a toy poodle and a rescue dog that was welcomed into our family from the Erie Humane Society in 2015. She had experienced a rough start in life but was now with a family that adored her, and she immediately captured our hearts.

Twinkle had the sweetest disposition. She was wonderful with people of all ages, welcoming affection and returning it to everyone she encountered. While she loved to curl up, draw close, and fall asleep on her family members, she also liked stacking pillows and napping at the very top, as if she was the princess in “The Princess and the Pea.” She was gentle and playful and enjoyed attention.

Twinkle developed an especially close relationship with “Dad.” Upon her arrival, she immediately ran across the floor, jumped up onto the couch and deposited herself on his lap. Soon, she spent many an hour curled up to him, or following him wherever he went. She was a calming influence and was definitely his buddy.

We will undoubtedly never forget the nuances that made Twinkle who she was. She had a unique way of stretching upon awakening from a nap, had an uncanny inner clock that never seemed to fail in knowing when it was time to eat, would paw incessantly until she received attention when desired, would roll over when she wanted a belly rub, was clearly the alpha among our three dogs, and pranced (not walked) as if she was royalty.

To us, she was. She was both the princess and the boss, a treasured family member and a dear friend. She will be forever missed.

Marshmallow Wassell

Marshmallow ‘Mr. Man’ Wassell was born on July 22, 2022, and crossed the rainbow bridge on April 1, 2023. He had a rough start to life, being found alone on the streets of Girard – looking too small to be away from his cat mother – but found his way to his human Mama on October 21, 2022.

He was the craziest, sweetest, most playful guy who loved everyone and everything. He loved playing in sinks, rolling in his little box, and jumping up walls like Spider-Man. His days were filled with watching birds from his cat tree, running around the house, climbing up couches, playing with every toy imaginable, and hanging out with his Mom – and when she was at work, his Baba, who visited him every day.

He was his Mom’s soulmate, never leaving her side. Where she was, he was and vice versa. From the day he was brought home, he has spent every day playing in the shower curtain when she was in the bathroom, helping her with dishes – laying on the counter or at times trying to get into the sink! – watching tv and movies, and cuddling with her day and night, especially at night, laying right on her chest.

Although his time was unexpectedly cut too short at eight months old due to feline leukemia, his life was filled with nothing but love and fun and he reciprocated that love and fun to everyone he met. He’s now running pain free at the Rainbow Bridge, but will be missed forever.
